What is Endolift?
Endolift is a minimally invasive laser treatment that aims to improve skin firmness, tighten loose skin and, where suitable, treat small areas of localised fat. A very thin optical fibre is placed under the skin, and the laser settings are chosen for each goal.
A plan made for you
In one session, Dr Kate can use different settings: in one area the focus can be on localised fat, in another on tightening the skin and stimulating tissue remodelling. No two bodies or goals are the same, so your plan and settings are decided at an in-person consultation.
Is it comfortable?
The treatment is done under local anaesthetic injections, which greatly reduce discomfort. Sensitivity varies from person to person.
How long does it take?
Usually 1 to 3 hours, depending on how many areas are treated. The longest sessions are for several large areas, for example the abdomen, buttocks and inner thighs.
Recovery
After treatment, an elastic support tape is applied to the area. Keep it on for at least 4 hours, and overnight if your doctor agrees. Most people return to normal daily activities the next day. Temporary swelling and small bruises can occur and fade gradually.
When will I see results?
Some tightening can be visible during the treatment itself. The effect then develops gradually, and tissue remodelling can continue for 6 months, sometimes up to 12. How much change you see depends on your skin and how your body responds. Results vary.
Will I need another session?
A second session is only considered if needed, after reviewing your result, usually no sooner than 6 months later. Maintenance can be discussed roughly every 1 to 2 years, depending on your skin and goals.
Before your treatment
A consultation is needed first to check whether Endolift is right for you, including any reasons not to have it and the possible risks.
